Temperament, Quality and Soundness
We are a small family hobby kennel, breeding only one or two select litters each year of black and tan, sable and occassionally black German Shepherd puppies and black or yellow (golden) Labrador Retriever puppies.
In the past some puppies have done extremely well in the show ring and many have competed in Working Trials, Obedience and Agility. However, these days most of our puppies go to become loving family pets, so temperament is of utmost importance.
I am a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder, striving for the highest breeding standards and give support and advice throughout your pup's life and love hearing news on how they are progressing.
We try hard to produce happy, carefree temperaments as well as breeding to the standard using only x-rayed and scored stock. All litters are very carefully researched and planned using breeding stock which has been health screened for many generations. All adults used for breeding are hip scored, adults born after 2005 are also elbow scored. All German Shepherd males are tested clear for haemophilia A and Labrador Retrievers are eye tested.
We have three German Shepherds and five Labradors whose ages range from fifteen months to nine years. All our dogs are healthy, have excellent temperaments and characters and are good with children and other animals.
This is also the home of Oldlands Rare Breeds featuring our Oxford Sandy and Black Pigs.
